Three fire crews rushed to a blaze after a derelict building caught fire in Leigh.
Pumps from Leigh, Atherton, and Hindley arrived at the old college on Railway Road at around 11pm on Saturday November 13.
Upon arrival a fire was discovered on the ground floor.
Firefighters then extinguished the fire to make the area safe, although there were still flames in the roof, so they had to get a platform, so they were able to extinguish it.
There were no reported injuries.
Crew manager Graham Holmes said: “We arrived on the scene, and it was locked.
“We found the fire on the ground floor, and we extinguished the fire, but there were still flames in the roof.
“We got a platform down to extinguish it.
“We made it secure and left it with Wigan Council”
They remained on the scene for around three hours.
