A HUSBAND and wife have relocated their long-standing Bradshawgate shop into a "new and improved" space, while also bringing in their daughter's new business to make it a real family affair.

A feature of Leigh town centre since 2002, the Pictorium Gallery is well known for its bespoke picture framing, wood furnishing, and assortment of unique household gifts.

Following more than two decades in its space at the top end of Bradshawgate, owners Peter Freeman and Jaki Freeman-Lowe have taken the opportunity to relocate into larger premises, just across the road.

Excited about the move, the larger premises will allow the couple to stock the shop with further world gifts and frames, as well as crafted goods, crystals and incense.

It will also give Peter and Jaki more space to create original artwork, and it has enabled their daughter Daisy to launch her own business out of the new  family shop.

Alongside Pictorium's range of unique arts and crafts, 'The Happy Houseplant', will offer customers a collection of "easy to maintain" with an eco friendly twist.

With a focus on sustainability, Daisy ensures that all of the plant pots are second hand to keep costs down for customers, whilst also being kind to the environment planet by reducing the need for new plastic pots.

Jaki said: "We are happy to be open in our new shop offering the town our creative products and services.

"However, more importantly we feel now more than ever it is vital to show support to our town's local businesses and we hope to be here for another two decades!

"We can’t wait to see all of our customers old and new at the new shop".
