ONE of Leigh Leopards' players of the season has been celebrated with his own ice cream before heading off to the Challenge Cup Final.
A red-hot winger this season, Josh Charnley has scored an incredible 22 tries on the Leopards' return to the Super League - making him the second top try scorer in the league.
A frequent visitor of Fredericks Ice Cream Parlour in Chorley, the Leapords' winger found that his favourite ice cream had been renamed 'Charnley Pudding' on his last trip before the Hull KR final at Wembley.

With Charnley a sucker for Frederick's Rice Pudding Ice Cream, the team decided to surprise him with a limited batch of 'Charnley Pudding' on his visit last week.
Emma Townson, who works at Fredericks, said: "Josh comes into our shop every so often and loves our rice pudding flavour the most - and he often makes it known to us!
"We make hundreds of flavours on rotation so it’s not always available when he visits. When he asked for it, I joked that we will rename it after him!
"Last week we made it again and I let him know so he could grab some before it sold out. He came to collect it the same day and we surprised him with its new name - Charnley Pudding!"
With Charnley and the Leopards hot property this season, the dessert sold out very quickly after the winger posted about it on social media.
However, Emma confirmed that Charnely Pudding will be making a return over the coming weeks.
