A MAN has been charged in connection with shoplifting and an alleged assault on a security guard.
Officers confirmed they charged a suspect over the alleged thieving spree and assault as part of an operation tackling anti-social behaviour in Leigh town centre.

Nicky Parr, of no fixed address, has been charged with six shoplifting offences and one assault on a security guard as part of the police crackdown.
Parr, 38, has been remanded in custody to appear in court on Monday, December, 11.
