A MAN from Golborne charged with a burglary of a property has appeared in court.
Police were alerted to an alleged break-in on Golborne Dale Road, in Newton-le-Willows, on Sunday morning, February 4, at around 11.15am.
Officers charged 22-year-old Adham Khamis, of Heath Street, Golborne, with burglary.
He is alleged to have entered as a trespasser of a property and steal a necklace, a watch and a Skoda car key.
Khamis appeared before Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, February 6.
Magistrates sent the case to Liverpool Crown Court.
The 22-year-old was remanded in custody and is due to appear at the higher court on Tuesday, March 5.
