An office building in Birkenhead has been purchased by a company that specialises in property conversions with plans to transform the space into apartments.
Belgravia, one of the UK’s fastest-growing residential developers, completed the acquisition of Hordan House in Price Street last month.
The property, which is currently a 1960s-style office building, is a short walk away from Hamilton Square and has panoramic views around the local area – including the Liverpool Waterfront.
Belgravia, which also specialises in ground-up development, submitted an application to transform Hordan House into 88 apartments with parking to Wirral Council on July 1.
It’s estimated that construction of the apartments will take 12 months, subject to planning approval.
Christopher Howell, CEO at Belgravia, said: “We are delighted to add Hordan House to our growing residential portfolio.
“We believe Birkenhead has huge potential and we are pleased to be a part of it.”
