Moving into Sunday, December 7, residents can look forward to the gloomy weather easing slightly throughout the day.

There will be intervals of sunshine in the afternoon.

Rain will be a less prominent feature throughout the day with the chances of downpours decreasing throughout the day.

The good start will be marred slightly when grey clouds roll in in the evening, but there is a very small chance of precipitation.

The temperature is expected to peak throughout Sunday afternoon with highs of 11C between 12pm and 5pm.

After 5pm, the temperature will drop back down to 9C and skies will maintain cloudy until midnight.
