THE Met Office has forecast a mix of mild weather with sunny intervals and light rain for Leigh this weekend.
Friday, December 19, will see sunny spells throughout the day.
There might be a slight drizzle in the early morning with a 20 per cent chance of rain around 6am, but it will drop to under 5 per cent for the rest of the day.
Temperatures in the morning will see a rise from around 6C to peak at 10C in the afternoon.
Winds will be coming from the south at a moderate pace of 7 to 11 mph, with gusts reaching up to 27 mph.
It might only feel like 7C outside.
The afternoon will have more sunny intervals before clouds start to gather in the evening.
The temperature will slowly drop to 7C as night sets in, while calm winds will keep the chance of rain at 10 per cent.
Saturday, December 20 will have its best weather in the morning.
The day will start clear and sunny with temperatures climbing from 5C to a steady 8C to 9C.
Be ready for the wind from the south bringing speeds of 7 to 12 mph while gusts might go up to 23 mph.
There's a chance of light rain, so keep an umbrella handy.
The night could also see showers continue, but temperatures will remain mild around 6C.
Sunday, December 21 is more likely to be overcast with some light rain throughout the day.
The Met Office forecast suggests that the chance of rain will begin to increase from the morning.
The day will start with cloudy skies, as light rain begins to fall by late morning.
Rainfall will become more frequent into the afternoon with a temperature of around 9C.
The rain is likely to continue into the night, with a 50 per cent chance of rain as temperatures stay around 9C.
Though rain is expected Sunday, temperatures look set to increase slightly to 10C but feel like 6C.
Winds will be steadier on Sunday, coming from the east at around 9 to 11 mph, while gusts could reach 21 mph.
If heading out on Sunday, it is advised for people to carry waterproofs and plan activities indoors as much as possible.
