EVERY week, the Leigh Journal publishes death notices and funeral announcements from the families of loved ones who have passed away.
As well as appearing in print, our death notice pages will remain online as a lasting tribute to the memory of those we have lost.

Frank Birtles
Peacefully on the 6th December 2025, Frank aged 93 years, much loved husband to Audrey, loving dad to David and Russell, Father in law to Eva, Treasured Grandad to Amy and Tess, also a much loved brother to Ida and his late brothers Harold and Bill, and a good friend to many, Frank will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
The funeral service will take place in Wharton & Cleggs Lane Church on Monday 29th December at 12:30pm prior to committal in Tyldesley Cemetery.
