Applications for a three-day documentary bootcamp in Leigh have opened.
The bootcamp, which will take place across three days will give budding filmmakers in the town the opportunity to develop, shoot, and edit their very own short documentary alongside award-winning film professionals.
With only ten spots available on the prestigious programme, applicants must be able to demonstrate an interest in film or documentary making, however, do not need any prior experience.
Applicants must be aged 16-25 at the time of applying and must be available for all bootcamp dates if accepted on the programme. Applicants with a Leigh postcode will be given priority, encouraging applications from local talent.
The bootcamp is set to start on the evening of Friday, February 3, with two full days taking place across Saturday, 4 and Sunday, 5.
Taking place at Leigh Turnpike Gallery, Civic Square, Leigh, successful applicants will learn the essentials of documentary filmmaking, getting hands-on training with professional equipment, whilst being mentored by professional film-makers.
Those in attendance will also get the opportunity to shoot and edit a 90 second documentary, which will be screened over the course of the weekend, as well receive advice and feedback on CVs from industry professionals.
Applications for the programme close at 5pm on Sunday, January 25, with the successful applicants selected on Monday, Sunday 26.
