A CREMATORIUM is inviting people to remember and honour loved ones this Mother’s Day.

Howe Bridge Crematorium will host a special memorial service at 6.30pm on Wednesday, March 11, offering a space for anyone missing a mother or mother figure to gather and reflect.

Lindsey Edwardson, manager at Howe Bridge Crematorium, said: "Over the Mother’s Day period, we are holding in our thoughts all those missing their mother, a mother figure and mothers who are bereaved of a child.

"They are all very warmly welcome to join us for this special workshop and create a personal, beautiful bouquet in honour of their loved ones.

"We also know that the bereaved can take great comfort from posting messages to loved ones in our white memorial box, which helps them maintain a feeling of connection with those they have lost."

Guests will have the opportunity to write personal messages and tributes on cards and place them in the crematorium’s white memorial post box during the Mother’s Day period.

The invitation is open to all, regardless of whether their loved one’s funeral was held at Howe Bridge.

The event is free, but attendees are asked to book in advance by calling 01942 870811 or emailing howebridge@westerleighgroup.co.uk.
