Boss Pizza has announced plans to open a brand-new store in Leigh this spring as part of a wider expansion across the North West. The move forms one of three upcoming launches in the region, with new sites also confirmed for Liverpool and St Helens.

The Leigh store will be part of the first wave of openings scheduled to begin in April 2026, marking another step forward in the company’s rapid UK growth. Across the three locations, Boss Pizza expects to create 45 new jobs, offering both full time and part time roles for local residents.

The expansion follows a period of momentum for the brand, which has recently launched two new stores in Glasgow’s East End and Clydebank, with further branches in Derby, Milton Keynes, Hemel Hempstead and Oldham all set to open later this spring.

Chief Executive Ajmal Mushtaq said the company is responding to a significant shift in consumer expectations around takeaway food.

“There has been a big cultural shift in consumer attitude to takeaway food in the past couple of years. “Consumers are demanding higher quality food, more competitive price points as well as faster delivery. “Boss Pizza is well placed to meet these consumer demands with our unique brand of Fresh Dough Pizza,” he said.

Operations Manager Ross Findlay added that the latest expansion – including the new Leigh store – signals strong confidence in the brand.

“The economic impact of the new jobs will be incredibly positive. We have been encouraged by the success of our brand of Fresh Dough Pizzas. “This performance is now underpinning our national expansion plans. We are very excited at the expansion into Merseyside,” he said.
