The Met Office has predicted a bright and sunny weekend with warmer evenings in Leigh.

Saturday will kick off clear and cool, with temperatures starting at 5C and rising to between 8C and 10C by the afternoon.

Temperatures will continue to climb by the early evening to hit a warm 12C to 15C peak, before gradually cooling into the night, starting at 12C and dropping to 8C by 11pm.

Throughout the day, winds are expected to remain very light, beginning at 4 to 5 mph in the morning and easing to a calm 3 mph by the evening.

Sunday begins on a similar note, with a crisp yet clear morning sitting between 5C and 7C.

As Sunday progresses, sunny spells are expected, although temperatures will remain slightly cooler than Saturday, ranging from 4C to 9C.

The evening will bring sunny conditions gradually turning to partly cloudy and slightly milder temperatures of between 11C to 14C, with the winds picking up slightly at 5 to 7 mph.

However, the night will see a cloud increase and a slight chance of rain, with temperatures expected to fall again to around 8C.

The rain risk will rise to 30 per cent by 11pm, but rain isn't guaranteed.
