THE Muppets are setting sail for the big screen with a swashbuckling adventure.

A screening of Muppet Treasure Island is set to take place at Leigh Film Factory on Saturday, April 4, at 2pm, promising a family-friendly outing filled with music, laughter, and classic Muppet magic.

The event will begin with The Puppet Folk Experience, a live tribute to the music and creative legacy of Jim Henson and the Muppets.

Featuring puppeteer Liam and musician Andy, the pre-show blends acoustic performances with lifelike puppet replicas to bring beloved songs and characters to life for audiences of all ages.

A spokesman for Leigh Film Factory said: "We’re always looking for ways to make our screenings feel like a real event, and this is something really special.

"The Puppet Folk Experience perfectly captures the spirit of the Muppets—funny, creative, and full of heart.

"It’s going to be a brilliant afternoon for families and anyone who grew up loving these characters."

Following the performance, the audience will enjoy a full screening of Muppet Treasure Island, a fast-paced, family-friendly adventure packed with songs, laughs, and unforgettable characters.

The film features Kermit, Miss Piggy, and the Muppet gang on a high-seas adventure filled with humour, catchy songs, and memorable characters.

This is the second time The Puppet Folk Experience has performed at Leigh Film Factory, following two sold-out Christmas screenings of The Muppet Christmas Carol in December 2025.

Tickets for the event are available now and can be booked at www.leighfilmfactory.com.
