An Easter egg hunt is set to take place in the grounds of a historic house in Astley.

Children are invited to search for eight different coloured eggs hidden around the woodland and grounds at Damhouse Astley.

The event takes place on Saturday, April 4, and runs from 10.30am until 3.30pm.

Each child who completes the hunt will receive an Easter treat.

Katie Scotton, manager at Damhouse, said: "The Easter Egg Hunt will be a great way for families to start the Easter holidays, with lots of activities to keep children entertained outdoors. The event will also help us to raise funds for Damhouse, which is a hidden gem in the heart of Astley."

Special prizes will also be up for grabs, with four golden tickets released throughout the day.

Any child who finds a golden ticket will receive a bonus Easter egg.

The courtyard will host a variety of family-friendly activities, including egg painting, crafts, face painting, games, a tombola and food and drink stalls.

Children can also make an Easter bunny to take home.

Admission is £4 per child, with free parking available at the site, located in Astley Hall Drive, M29 7TX, and dates back to the 1600s.
