A CLOSURE order on a property linked to anti-social behaviour has been extended.

The order at 65A Siddow Common in Leigh was granted in January and will now remain in place until July.

It was put in place to tackle issues including intimidation, criminal damage, and disorder, which caused sustained fear among nearby residents.

A Wigan Council spokesperson said: "The extension means we can continue to protect residents, safeguard vulnerable people, and maintain community safety, while continuing to offer support alongside enforcement."

The council, working with Greater Manchester Police and partners, use enforcement only where it is necessary and proportionate.
