A FARM in Glazebury has announced the start of its strawberry picking season.

Farmer Berties, located on Warrington Road, has launched tickets for customers to come and pick their own fresh fruit.

General admission tickets, for ages three to 59, cost £5.11, and OAP tickets, for those over 60, cost £3.09.

Each ticket includes up to 250g of strawberries free, redeemable against one punnet only.

Children two and under go free.

Flexi tickets cost £7.18, and the first available booking slots are on May 30 and 31.

The farm is also offering tickets for 'Strawberry Saturday Nights', where visitors can come for the strawberry picking and stay for the great food, drinks, and live music.

From 4 pm to 8 pm on Saturdays, customers can sit in the sun or under a large stretch tent and enjoy the surroundings, eat with family and friends, cool down with an alcoholic drink, or a homemade strawberry cooler.

There will also be live music, with visiting vendors serving food, including Rocket Wood Pizza.
