A WARM and mostly dry weekend is expected for Leigh, with only a brief risk of showers on Friday evening.

Friday will see sunny intervals for much of the day, turning cloudier later with a risk of showers into the evening.

Daytime temperatures will peak around 25C, with an overnight minimum near 15C.

Rain chances will stay very low through the morning and early afternoon, generally below 5–10 per cent, rising to around 30–40 per cent by late afternoon and early evening, and then up to about 60–70 per cent in the evening as showers move through.

Winds will mainly be from the south to south-west, around 11–13mph through the afternoon, with gusts up to roughly 28mph where showers occur.

Cloud will build at times, but there should still be some brighter spells, especially earlier in the day.

The best window for outdoor plans looks to be from late morning into mid-afternoon before shower chances increase.

Pollen levels are indicated as high, so it may feel uncomfortable for those with hay fever.

Saturday will bring a slightly cooler day with sunny intervals and largely dry conditions after any overnight showers clear.

The afternoon maximum will be around 20C with a cooler night close to 11C.

Rain risk is shown at about 20 per cent early in the morning, quickly dropping to below 5 per cent for the rest of the day and evening, so most places should stay dry.

Winds will turn more westerly or north-westerly around 9–12mph, with maximum gusts near 23mph.

Cloud amounts will vary, but there will be long spells of sunshine through the afternoon and evening.

Pollen is again flagged as high.

Sunday looks sunny and very warm throughout, with clear skies dominating.

Temperatures will climb to about 25C in the afternoon, with a night-time minimum near 16C.

Rain risk will stay very low, with probabilities below 5 per cent all day and into the night.

Winds will be light, generally from an easterly or south-easterly direction at around 3–6mph.

Sunshine will be widespread from morning through to evening.

Pollen levels are shown as very high.
