A NEW leisure and entertainment destination is set to open later this year.

STACK Wigan, located in the former Debenhams unit at the Grand Arcade Shopping Centre, will take shape across two floors and include a mix of bars, food outlets and entertainment options.

Developers have now released new images and a fly-through video showing the scale and design of the scheme.

Gemma Dishman, director of strategy and development at STACK, said: "We are delighted to be able to finally give a real flavour of what we are going to offer at STACK Wigan as we know how eagerly awaited it is.

"And now we’re looking to enhance that with a strong mix of street food traders that offers a good balance of well-known favourites alongside more unique and independent concepts.

"It’s important that there’s variety across the line-up, with each trader bringing something different, so customers have plenty of choice without too much overlap.

"We want operators who can deliver consistently in a busy environment and help create a vibrant, high-energy atmosphere that keeps people coming back."

The venue will feature six food outlets—one already reserved for ZZA Pizzeria—a coffee shop, five bars, an outdoor terrace, big screens for live sport, a stage for events, and a pool table area.

STACK venues are known for their blend of international cuisines, with existing sites offering food from Italy, Mexico, Greece, Korea, China and the USA.

Ms Dishman said: "STACK is always committed to supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs and we hope this will give those operators the opportunity to become part of the STACK family."

Mike Matthews, centre manager at the Grand Arcade, said: "We’re really pleased to be working with STACK to bring this exciting new leisure destination to Grand Arcade.

"STACK will add a completely new dimension to the shopping centre, complementing our existing retail offer and creating more reasons for people to spend time in the town centre throughout the day and into the evening."

The venue is currently inviting applications from street food vendors at stackleisure.com/trader-vacancies/

The deadline for applications is July 21.
