AN exhibition exploring mythology, ritual and the body is set to open.
The show, titled Shambles, will take place at Horrocks Gallery in Leigh Spinners Mill from October 15.
The exhibition reunites Wigan and Leigh artists Klaire Doyle, Anna FC Smith and Matthew Wood, who previously collaborated on the 2024 Seeing Things exhibition.
Anna FC Smith said: "We wanted to show together, two years after Seeing Things but this time to explore the ways our works complement each other.
"All our recent themes have been writhing around differing ideas of mythology, body, ritual, charm, glamer and the state."

The exhibition will feature new work from each artist.
Klaire Doyle’s pieces explore teeth as objects of ritual and belief, drawing from oral history, ancient allegories, and morbid anatomy.
Her work is influenced by Catholic reliquaries and sacred sites, reimagining the mysticism and meaning attached to human teeth.

Anna FC Smith’s contributions include sculpture, animation and ceramics inspired by the ancient Wigan Moot Hall.
Her work examines the rituals and systems of medieval community organisation, exploring how societies embodied political structures through the symbolism of the body politic.
Matthew Wood presents large-scale drawings that play with repetition, movement, and the concept of "glamer"—an archaic term for illusion or enchantment.
His work explores themes of excess, celebrity, and conspiracy, tying into the historical roots of the modern word "glamour."
Matthew Wood said: "The exhibition showcases our new work to the Northwest, but also the quality of work that is coming out of Wigan borough around the buzzing cultural venue of Leigh Spinners Mill.
"We are excited to be following Dot Dot Dot by Joe Kiney Whitmore, Ula Fung, and Marco Frezza in the fantastic Horrocks Gallery."
