Astley & Tyldesley will be hosting the Under 13 British Cycle Speedway Club Championships at Gin Pit on Saturday.

Ten teams have entered the competition, which will see two semi-final matches taking place at 12.30pm and 2pm with the the final at 4.30 pm.

The match is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Astley, and several official guests, including the Mayor and Mayoress of Wigan, will attend.

Spectators are welcome, with admission and car parking free and refreshments and match programmes on sale.

The event will see Britain's best young cycle speedway racers in action, as Midlands club Sandwell defend the title that they won last year. The racing takes place at the Astley & Tyldesley Miners' Welfare Club, Meanley Road, Gin Pit, Astley. M29 7DW.
