A man from Oldham has been arrested in connection with the rape of a 14-year-old girl as she was walking her dog at a beauty spot.
The teenager was strolling through woodland near Newent Lake, in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, last Thursday when she was attacked.
A man approached her by the car park at 5pm before committing the “serious sexual assault”, a force spokeswoman said.
The offender is described as Asian, in his early 20s, 6ft and of slim build, with short dark hair.
He was wearing a blue T-shirt, jeans and white trainers and during conversation indicated he was from Bangladesh.
A 32-year-old man was arrested on Friday in connection with the incident.
He has been bailed to return to Gloucester police station on August 31 pending further inquiries.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
