A GROUP of charity champions are appealing for further support for their latest collection.
The Leigh branch of Soroptimist International need unwanted bras to raise cash for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
They have organised a second collection on Saturday, August 15, from 10am - 4pm on Atherton Market.
Members have been amazed at the response so far to turn grey bras green and raise pink pounds for the charity.
President elect Lynda Parkinson said: “We would like to thank everyone who has supported this campaign. The response so far has been fantastic.
“We also have collection points in Leigh if anyone would like to take their unwanted bras at any time during trading hours to Bon Marche, in the Spinning Gate Shopping Centre, Viva Fashions on Bradshawgate and Local Mobility on Market Street. This campaign will be running throughout the summer with more collections in Leigh in September and October. “
