PC Andy Wright and fellow police officers in the area have been involved with schools in the Nowt2Do project where thousands of teenagers have tried their hand at bricklaying, table tennis, drama, dance, sport and music.
Shadow education secretary and local MP Andy Burnham dropped in to Hesketh Fletcher and Fred Longworth high schools last Friday where he tried his hand at some of the activities.
