A £5,000 reward is being offered by police leading to the conviction of two men who made threats to a family.

Police believe the men could have connections to Tyldesley and Lymm.

The incident happened at 9.20pm on March 15, when the men knocked on the door of a home on North Vale Road, Trafford and threatened the owners.

In the early hours of March 17, the occupants heard their car alarm go off and discovered that tyres on their two cars had been slashed, the windscreens smashed and flammable liquid poured on the doormat.

No one was seen carrying out the damage.

The two men who came to the door are described as being black and aged in their 20s.

One was slim, 5ft 11ins to 6ft tall, and softly spoken. He wore a black knee length jacket, dark jeans and black trainers.

The other was stocky, 5ft 8ins tall and wore a black hooded top, and dark jeans.

Det Sgt. Dave Chambers said: “This family now feel intimidated and frightened and we are determined to catch those responsible.

“Although no one was seen damaging the cars, we believe the two incidents are linked and hope the £5,000 reward will encourage people to come forward.”
