Coronation Street actress Julia Goulding has revealed she is pregnant at tonight’s British Soap Awards.

Showing off her baby bump as she arrived on the red carpet, she is reported to have said she is “excited” about the arrival of her second child.

Best known for playing Shona Platt in the ITV soap, the 37-year-old already has a two-year-old son, Franklin, with husband Ben Silver who she married in 2018.

Before joining Corrie in 2016, Julia attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and has starred in theatre productions including The Crucible, The Canterbury Tales, Othello, Merchant of Venice and The Notorious Mrs Ebbsmith.

She secured her first TV role on the cobbled streets of Weatherfield as the new love interest of character David Platt.
