POLICE allege that two drivers tried to jump the queue on the M60 at Junction 13 at scene of yesterday's crash (August 6).
North West Motorway Police say the drivers attempted to jump the queue which had built due to delays following the crash, only to find patrols were holding the traffic.
Officers got the two drivers to wait in the closure so they could explain the dangers of this offence.
One driver, who police say was commuting in a vehicle they were not covered for, was issued with a Traffic Offence Report (TOR) and their policy was upgraded at the roadside.
Police say the other driver had no insurance at all and was not able to get any at the roadside. A TOR was issued to them and their vehicle was seized.
