MORE than 60 riders from across the country have signed up to compete at the Gin Pit on Saturday in a special meeting to mark Astley and Tyldesley's 25th anniversary.
The club will be hosting five events, starting at 1.45pm with the junior individual race and culminating at 4pm with the main event of the day – the senior showdown.
Other races include the girls and u10s girls and the intermediate.
Riders, officials, volunteers and supporters from past and present are then invited to a attend a social evening to celebrate 25 years of cycle speedway at Astley and Tyldesley.
The Mayor of Wigan, councillor Phyll Cullen, will be in attendance, along with several other official guests.
A&T will also host a Northern League fixture against Heckmondwike on Sunday, starting at 2pm.
