ATHERTON Collieries’ weekend home game with title chasers South Shields was one of many in the area postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
Colls will be hoping for better weather this weekend.
On Saturday the black ‘n’ white stripes visit Skelmersdale United in an Evo-Stik League Division One North fixture, with kick-off set for 3pm.
With the teams being within a point of each other at the wrong end of the table, the contest is being considered a ‘six-pointer’.
The game will be played at the home of Prescot Cables where Skem now groundshare.
On Monday Bamber Bridge head to Atherton for an Integro League Challenge Cup tie, with the kick-off scheduled for 7.45pm.
Bamber Bridge are currently fourth in the league’s promotion race.
