TYLDESLEY Netball Club welcomed Manchester Thunder’s head coach Karen Greig to training sessions to put the players through their paces.

Greig, an ex-England international with vast experience within the netball super league as a player and coach, worked with the under 14s and under 16s players in expert masterclass sessions.

“The girls have talent and the club are developing players well. I enjoyed it,” said Greig.

Emma Toone, Tyldesley’s head coach, said the sessions delivered in inspiring the club’s youngsters.

“As a club we try to inspire our players in different ways to achieve more.

“That could be by bringing in high-level coaches like Karen or international netballers such as Ama Agbeze (England captain), or by ensuring competition plays a part in their development. We channel that inspiration.”
