PLENTY of Warrington Wolves fans will know a lot about Danny Walker.

After all, the hooker spent most of his upbringing standing shoulder-to-shoulder with them on the terraces at The Halliwell Jones Stadium!

However, we asked him a few quick-fire questions to get to know more about him...

Sporting hero?

I’ve never really thought of one. Maybe someone like Rocky Balboa? Nobody really thought of him as being the best but he turned out to be really good!

If you could pick one NRL player to come to Warrington, who would it be and why?

He might be retired now, but I’d still pick Johnathan Thurston. No disrespect to any of our half-backs, but he’s a legend and I’d loved to play with him.

Any pre-match superstitions?

I always put my left sock on before my right, and my left boot on before my right. When I step on the field, I always go left foot first as well. I don’t know why, because I’m right-footed and right-handed!

Best advice you’ve ever been given?

I always take in things that are drip-fed rather than single bits of advice, but things like taking every chance will always stick with me.

Scoring tries or setting them up?

I’d rather set them up any day of the week.

If Bennie Westwood and Jason Clark ever got in a boxing ring, who would win?

I’ve got to go with Bennie!

How do you like to relax away from rugby?

I don’t really do much, to be honest! I like to chill out, take the dogs out because I’m a big dog-walker.

What are you watching on TV at the moment?

At the minute I’m watching Narcos, the new Mexican one. I’ve just started watching that as I’m a big Narcos fan.

Funniest thing you’ve ever seen on a rugby field?

Probably when I was at Widnes when we were playing Whitehaven (I think) in pre-season. Macgraff Leuluai broke the line – which doesn’t happen very often! – and he was going through for a try but he tripped over his own feet and went flying just before he got to the line. He went down like a sniper had shot him, but it was hilarious!

Best Christmas present you’ve ever received?

When I got a bike from my parents. I’d be straight out on it even though the tyres weren’t pumped up on it!

Worst Christmas present you’ve ever received?

It was a book, and I’m not much of a reader. It was like a rugby facts book. I had a look into it and it was all rugby union. I’m not really into rugby union as I don’t understand it. That was probably one that I didn’t really get!
