RYLANDS were involved in a topsy-turvy Cheshire Women’s Premier League encounter at the weekend that featured seven goals.
However, they were able to continue their winning start to the campaign as they won 4-3 at Egerton thanks in no small part to Mollie Bennett’s hat-trick.
Tony McCole’s side fell behind after just two minutes but a 25-yard strike from Bennett pulled them level shortly after.
That was how it stayed until three minutes after the break when Bennett finished off a great move involving Grace Nelson and Annabel Procter.
Egerton equalised again before Tyler Williams made the score 3-2 to Rylands, but the home side pulled level once more.
Then, with 20 minutes to go, an excellent twisting run from Ellie Anderson ended with her being brought down inside the Egerton box.
The referee pointed to the spot and Bennett converted the penalty to complete her hat-trick.
Their next game sees them take on Altrincham Women at Gorsey Lane on Sunday, kick off 2pm.
