JARROD Sammut's first game as a Leigh Centurions player could be against his former club Wigan Warriors after a pre-season warm up was announced between the local rivals.

Leigh, who yesterday confirmed the signing of Australian half-back Sammut, will be giving many of the club's off-season signings some gametime ahead of the 2020 Betfred Championship season.

Head coach John Duffy will be using the game as a final opportunity to fine tune things with the opening game of the season a week later at Dewsbury.

The fixture will also see the presentation of the Arthur Thomas Memorial Trophy presented to the Leigh Centurions Man of the Match chosen by his family, who will be guests of The Club.

Tickets for the game versus Wigan Warriors, which kicks off at 7.30pm on Thursday, January 23 at Leigh Sports Village, are on sale now.

Tickets are now available in The Holland's Pies North Stand (terracing behind the posts) and Kingstone Press West Stand (reserved seating along the touchline).

Wigan Warriors supporters have been allocated South Stand (unreserved seating behind the posts) and can purchase tickets via their own club or the avenues below.

Supporters can pre-purchase their tickets in person at the Leigh Sports Village Stadium Ticket Office, online at www.leightickets.co.uk or by calling 01942 487888.
