WARRINGTON Town are back in action tonight – more than a fortnight after their last league game
Yellows welcome Grantham Town to Cantilever Park with the aim of breathing life into their promotion challenge.
A win tonight will see Paul Carden’s seventh-place side jump above Scarborough Athletic and close to within a point of the play-off spots.
By contrast, the visitors need the points for altogether different reasons – they sit second from bottom of the table, are on a run of six consecutive defeats and have yet to win away from home this season.
Town have not played a BetVictor Northern Premier League Premier Division game since losing 2-1 at Lancaster City on February 1 as they saw a home game against Matlock Town and a trip to Ashton United fall foul of the weather.
Carden has no fresh injury concerns for tonight’s match against the Gingerbreads.
Winger Luke Wall is in contention to make his Yellows debut after joining on dual registration from Altrincham earlier this month.
Entry to tonight’s game is pay on the door and tickets cost £10 for adults, £6 for concessions and £2 for juniors.
