PGA professional Scott Currie is looking to bring this experience into his new coaching role at Woodside Golf Centre in Cranage, Holmes Chapel.
Scott, who began his golf as a junior at Sale Golf Club, as assistant pro at Withington for eight years and qualified as a PGG Member in1995.
He became assistant at the newly opened Marriott Worsley Park until 1999, when he moved on to set up the Golf Academy at the Boysnope Park course near to Irlam.
“I have utilised the PGA’s Continued Development Programme and attended many seminars on coaching,” he said.
“After a brief spell in golf retail I am now joining Rob Hart at Woodside which has a driving range, golf course, par 3 course and footgolf.
“I will be bringing my ever learning approach to the site and I hope to use different-pronged approaches either through an initial one-hour assessment lesson looking at all aspects of a player’s game, or by golf course playing lessons actually watching the golfers in action as to where they spend most of his or her time and highlight what needs to improve.
“However, if someone wants a typical 1/2 hour slot that's fine too and we are using video analysis and Flight scope launch monitor technology.
“I will also be following the progress of my son Ben, a junior member at Withington, who has been a regular member of the Cheshire U14 squad and has now moved up to the u16 group.”
