BY scoring against LASK last night, Jesse Lingard managed to break a personal drought that had stretched for almost two years.
His 57th-minute equaliser for Manchester United in their Europa League last-16 tie meant the Longford lad had scored in back-to-back games for the first time since December 2018, having also netted against Leicester City in the final Premier League game of the season.
The former William Beamont High School pupil helped United to a 2-1 victory on the night and a 7-1 aggregate win to send them through to the "Final 8" tournament in Germany, which starts next week.
United will face FC Copenhagen in the quarter-finals on Monday.
