The European Athletics Championships in Rome is under way and runs from Friday, 7 June to Wednesday, 12 June.
Atherton’s Keely Hodgkinson will be defending her title havinh won the 800m gold medal last time out.
The reigning European two-lap champion will be looking for a good performance – and result – especially with it being an Olympic year in Paris.
Hodgkinson will begin her defence on the morning of Tuesday ,11 June in one of the four heats.
The two semi-finals take place the following day from 9.10am (BST).
The 800m final takes place on Wednesday evening from 8.28pm (BST).
It is a massive year for the Leigh Harrier, who is gearing up for the summer’s Olympics in Paris.
