LEIGH'S game against Castlford Tigers has been postponed.

Under the RFL’s Covid-19 protocols, a team can apply to postpone a match if seven or more senior players are unavailable as a result of Covid-19 – either through positive tests or as close contacts.

This has hit the two Challenge Cup Finalists - Castleford and St Helens - for two weeks now.

St Helens were also due to host Huddersfield Giants in Round 16 on Wednesday 28 July and this game has also been postponed.

More than seven of the top 25 players at both St Helens and Castleford were recently required to isolate following either positive Covid tests or as close contacts, forcing the postponements of the scheduled Round 15 matches against Hull KR and Catalans Dragons respectively.

The postponed fixtures will be added to the list for possible rearrangement, although the Betfred Super League table is to be determined by win points percentage to allow for the possibility of not all fixtures being fulfilled.

Spectators who have already purchased a ticket for this fixture will be able to use the same ticket for any rearranged date.

Should they wish to claim a refund, they can do so by returning their ticket to the Ticket Office either in person at Leigh Sports Village or by posting their ticket and contact details to Ticket Office, Leigh Sports Village, Sale Way, Leigh WN7 4JY.
