This so-called ‘sport’ is tantamount to animal cruelty and should be banned in its entirety. These dogs are simply a commodity. If they’re not good enough to make their owners money, they’re often neglected, dumped, abused, abandoned or killed. Harry Potts is rather naive when he says there is the odd ‘bad egg’ and that anyone acting in such a manner would be easily traced. I beg to differ. There is enough evidence in the public domain about these cruel practices and your readers deserve the truth.
