I FELT it necessary to respond to Karen Aldred’s letter she wrote about what she and her husband have done for dementia.
It is commendable but totally irrelevant to my question asking what she has done to save Atherton Library.
My letter referred to a campaigning leaflet where it was claimed the Labour Party councillors had saved Atherton Library.
We of the Atherton Library Support Group were totally unaware of this and my letter simply posed the question, when and how did the Labour Party councillors save Atherton Library without us knowing about it?
My comments weren’t negative as was claimed but stated that we don’t believe the councillors did as they claimed, unless it was by some subtle influence of which we weren’t aware.
Perhaps Clr Aldred could enlighten us?
