I THINK all road users in Leigh should be given a course in science fiction driving.
I have not driven to Leigh for a while and certainly won’t be going back in a hurry.
The new roundabout system at the junction of Twist Lane and the retail park is a nightmare.
There are no signs saying which lane goes where, and manoeuvring into the retail park is nearly as bad as coming out.
I would have thought that Twist Lane was straight across, but no, that is turning left. Couldn’t it have been made simpler?
It also appears that the new junctions entering Leigh via the police station route are going to be just as bad too.
I admit I am flummoxed and I can’t imagine pedestrians liking it either.
