SIR, REGARDING the letter from Sara Smallman, I have lived in Tyldesley for 20 years and seen the changes in the town.
During the day Tyldesley is a ghost town. When I go through Atherton on the bus the town is filled with people shopping. What Sara said was true. What we have are pubs, clubs, take-aways and restaurants.
Why do we pay Council Tax? So that Wigan can have more money to spend in Wigan? We don't even have a police station any more.
