HERE is some ‘factually correct’ information in response to Andy Lloyd’s letter in the Journal on May 18.
Germany is one-and-a-half times bigger than the UK and France is more than twice as big.
Yet our population density is greater than Germany’s and far greater than that of France.
I say that the facts show we are heading towards overcrowding.
Besides the statistics, the increasing demand for housing, school places, hospital beds and other services show how this affects our society.
An increasing elderly population is also a fact.
When, after the next decade or so, all our spare land has been built on, would Mr Lloyd kindly donate his back garden?
