READING about the decline of Leigh on the Journal’s letters page reminded me of my frustration at the apparent inactivity of police and elected officials regarding the proliferation of drug dealing in the town.
This happens openly on a daily basis in the immediate vicinity of three primary schools.
There must be a concerted effort by all concerned to stop the dealers from operating in the neighbourhood.
If it is left unchecked it could lead to more addicts and more lives ruined.
Our town, our people, our children deserve better.
