I DON'T know what we have done to upset the council in Wigan, but it must be something bad.
As if driving through Astley and Tyldesley wasn't bad enough already I learn from the Journal that the number of speed cushions on Astley Street/Princes Avenue is going to be doubled to eight, plus three speed tables introduced.
My three years old car has had to have repairs to the suspension which I have never known before.
My main driving route also involves Hamilton Street in Atherton, another assault course for vehicles.
I am in no doubt that these roads are to blame.
It is also a fact that the humps wear the insides of tyres leading to punctures.
I would urge readers to write to Wigan's Borough Solicitor and object to this road policy.
