THREE teams remain unbeaten after last week's matches in the ladies' Rubies Division of the Bridgwater & District Summer Skittles League.

They are: Wicked Ladies, who beat neighbours The Other Lot by eight at the Globe Inn, North Petherton; Otters, 19-pin away winners over Ladybirds; and Geef Teeth, from Cannington, who beat the Pink Ladies by 12 at the Blake Arms and have a game in hand.

In the all-Globe match, Petherton's Generations visited Cannington's Globe Rejects and won by 36.

Still unbeaten in the ladies' Champions are Market Maids, after an eight-pin home win over Poppy Girls. Second place are last year's winners Arf Dozen, who beat point-less Wotsits by 35. Housemaids dropped to third after losing by seven to Mo's Gems.

With Piglets' result not know, Daff's Dollies lead the ladies' Pearls after a 13-pin home success against Blake Belles. Champions El Syd visited Spares and lost by 31 as Brenda Fudge finished 14, 17 to top the alley with 57.

Railway Belles are joint second. Rockets had a very poor night at home alley, not even reaching 200, which gave The British Birds a comfortable win.

Flopperettes, the only unbeaten team in the ladies' Emeralds, had a 59-pin win over Withy Maids, who are now joint second with Flagettes after their opponents, Nutcrackers, failed to raise a team. Die Hards led from the second to the fourth hands away to Write Offs but the home team pulled 20 pins on the last two hands to win by 17.

The ladies' Diamonds is headed by unbeaten Cheeky Girls, who won by 12 at the Cross Rifles. In second place are Slappers, also 100%, but with a game in hand. They beat Bottoms Up by 42 at the Lions Club. Joint third are champions Gremlin's Girls, four-pin winners against Durleigh Dolls, and Reservoir Ducks, who beat Pretty Pollies.

Limeys are now the only team yet to lose in the men's Premier after ending the unbeaten record of Wanderers, despite having been seven down after three hands. they won by 12.

Champions Fireworks had a last-hand, two-pin win at Gentle Giants, league chairman John Garland topping the alley with 62, which moved them to joint second. Old Teasers and Slades are joint fourth.

Riff Raff are still 100% in the men's Early after a 21-pin win at Wellworthy Colts. Also yet to lose are Outs & Ins, who won by 17 at Withy Wanderers. Folly Boys, who had half their team in Mexico at the start of the season, played their first game and beat Five o'Clockers. Terry's Lot won for the first time.

Three teams have won both their opening matches in the men's Main: Pawlett Pins, winners by 12 at home to Cannington Chemistry; Gamblers, who beat Floppers by 39 away; Flintstones, who beat Bunch of Key'unts at home.

Faux Pas, nine-pin winners at home to The Clan, and Shunters, 27-pin victors at Nam Nuts are the only unbeaten teams in the mixed Brunettes. The wheels fell off, following their first win the previous week, for Glad We've Arms. They lost away to Railway Six, where Martin Coombes hit 64 and Allan Cavill 62 for the home team.

Champions Commercial A, winners by 17 at Scoobies, and runners-up Mad Hatters remained unbeaten in the mixed Primrose, although the latter team, 14 up after three hands at Kings Head Inn won by just a pin. Jacks & Jills got off the mark with a 30-pin victory over Sagalouts.

In the mixed Bluebell, Globetrotters lost 11 on the first hand and led by 26 on the fifth and, despite Pretenders' best hand of the night (57), won by ten to stay unbeaten. Also yet to lose are Wish We Waz, three-pin home winners against Globe Inn Rejects. Harvest Mixed got off the mark, while champions Trumpeters played their first match and beat The Snoots away.

Two of the three unbeaten teams in the mixed Blondes are new: Rebellions, who won by eight at home to Pin Pals and Choppers, who beat Nut Eads. The third unbeaten side are Moorlanders, who won at Barmies. The all-town tie between Pointless Parretts and Good Bunch was won by the latter, leaving the home team as their name suggests.

Note: Six results were missing at lunchtime on Friday. Two were from the men's league, played on Monday, and the other four from the Wednesday ladies' leagues, all in town. If a match is postponed, the results secretary must be notified before the match, not when he rings up one of the teams a few days after the due date.
