A TEENAGER has been handed a suspended sentence after damaging seven windows of a McDonald's restaurant.

Connor Hughes, of Mersey Street, Leigh damaged the windows at the fast food's outlet in Platt Bridge on November 17 last year.

At Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court, the 19-year-old was given an eight-week sentence in a youth offenders institute which has been suspended for two years.

He must also carry out a rehabilitation course.

Hughes has been ordered to pay £300 in compensation, a £122 victim services surcharge fee and £85 in court costs as well.
