He said: “Well I guess I should introduce ourselves seeing as no-one actually knows who we are. We’re called Royal Blood and this is, uh, rock music. Who likes rock music? Nine people…brilliant.”

At another point, the singer said: “We’re having to clap ourselves because that was so pathetic" and exited the stage showing two middle fingers to the audience.

Following Kerr's outburst with the crowd, a chorus of criticism has come in for the rock and roll outfit who are touring in preparation for their fourth album 'The Water Below'.

The Lottery Winners, who are well known for their hard work and dedication after putting in 15 years of effort to get to Number One, added their voice to the crowd as online commenters called out the Brighton rockers.

The Leigh band, who are also known for their good relationships with fans and also opened up a temporary pop-up shop in Spinning Gate shopping centre, said: "Man, some gigs are tough and you have to win over the crowd, but this is exactly how to NOT react.

"Very disappointed with Royal Blood here. No matter what level you get to, you’re never better than the audience."

With hundreds of similar comments online, it seems that many agree with the Lottery Winners and that Royal Blood's on-stage antics are no way to treat your crowd or win potential fans over.
