Jason Derulo gushed that “it never gets old” after being told he had secured the number one spot in the music charts with his new single.

The singer’s latest release Want To Want Me went straight in at the highest position today, giving the American star his fourth UK number one.

The song racked up more than 127,000 sales in the past seven days, easily fending of its nearest competitor, last week’s number one Cheerleader by OMI.

Jason told OfficialCharts.com: “I just want to say thank you to all the fans for giving me this tremendous pleasure.

“It never ever gets old. Honestly, it feels just as good every time, if not better.

“I worked really hard on this album for about eight months, so to begin like this with a bang is a real blessing.”
