CADENCE Cafe in Tyldesley is teaming up with the Babington Group to provide courses and tuition in music, events management and photography.
The 12-month partnership with the company’s Training For Today organisation has already started with a group of students being given just two weeks to organise Cadence’s Our Big Gig event this weekend.
Katherine Stephens, work preparation manager for Training For Today, said: “Young people participating are expected to both organise and deliver very real music events such as Our Big Gig, carrying a large responsibility for our young people.
“We are very proud that our learners are able to learn and achieve the skills and knowledge needed to manage and deliver such a prestigious occasion, as well as gaining very real work experience.”
